"My Killer Buddy" opening the Riviera International Film Festival

Gianluca Santoni's debut film will be the only Italian film in competition at the Ligurian Festival. In theaters from May 23rd.

“My Killer Buddy”, the debut film by Gianluca Santoni, will be presented as the opening film at the Riviera International Film Festival on May 7th. The film will compete with ten other international feature films and represents Italy as the only Italian film in competition.

The jury of this year's Riviera International Film Festival includes names from the world scene, like Andrew Dominik, director of "Blonde", Pietro Scalìa, two-time Oscar-winning editor, Erika Calmeyer, young Norwegian director and Susan Sarandon, an icon of Hollywood cinema, Oscar for Best Leading Actress in 1996.

In Sestri Levante, the city that hosts the Festival every year, the director, Gianluca Santoni, the producer Stefano Sardo and part of the cast (Barbara Ronchi, Andrea Lattanzi and Andrea Sartoretti) will be present.

I Santi Francesi, authors of a song from the soundtrack, are also expected.

Following the presentation at the Festival, the film will be released in theaters on May 23rd, distributed by Europictures.

“My Killer Buddy” is a Nightswim production with Rai Cinema, in co-production with Antitalent and in associated production with Sajama Films.

Santoni's debut film was already presented last October as the only Italian film in competition in the Alice nella Città section of the Rome Film Festival, where it received positive feedback from critics and audiences.
